A white leather sleigh bed of total restraint — the arc is the detail, and the leather must be flawless to carry it.

A plain white leather surface has nowhere to hide. Every crease, every tension wrinkle, every slight tonal variation in the hide becomes visible. I designed this bed to challenge our atelier — strip away every decorative flourish and ask the craft to carry the piece entirely on its own. The arc had to be geometrically perfect before the leather went on. It is, and it does.

The Making of the Velora Bed

The headboard is built over a precision-curved internal frame — bent laminated wood or formed MDF — to achieve the backward-sweeping arc without any flat sections. White leather is then hand-stretched across the curve, tension anchors placed carefully to prevent creases at the apex. Our artisans select hides with no tonal variation — white is the most demanding colour for consistent coverage.

Wrapping Leather Over a Curved Apex

Hand-stretching white leather across a backward-curved headboard without creases at the apex requires precise anchor placement and careful tensioning — the material offers no pattern to hide behind. ::

The continuous backward arc of the headboard is built over a geometrically exact curved frame — bent laminated wood shaped to the angle before upholstery begins, so the finished silhouette is clean from every viewpoint. ::

How long does it take to make the Velora Bed?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.
Can I customise the dimensions, leather, or wood?
Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
What if something needs repair years from now?
Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee. Reupholstery, refinishing, and frame repair are handled in-house — a piece built today can be brought back to the workshop a decade from now and restored.
