A camelback arched headboard in sage velvet, nailhead-trimmed by hand along its full perimeter — a bed for rooms that understand timeless craft.

Nailhead trim on a curved arch is not a quick job. Each nail has to be positioned by hand so the spacing reads consistently around the arc — where the curve changes radius, the visual rhythm has to adjust. The velvet was chosen for exactly that quality of catching light differently across a curved surface. The sage tone was the unexpected one. It photographs beautifully against almost anything.

The Making of the Aurelio Bed

The arched headboard is built over a precisely shaped internal frame — bent laminated wood or formed MDF — to hold the camelback curve symmetrically without distortion. Individual brass nailheads are then placed by hand along the full arched perimeter, spacing adjusted around the curve for visual consistency. Velvet pile direction is aligned before tacking to ensure the sheen reads uniformly from the front.

Directional Velvet Pile

Short-pile velvet is unforgiving — any tension variation or misalignment shows immediately in the pile direction. Our artisans align the velvet across the curved headboard surface before any stapling begins, ensuring the sheen reads uniformly from the front. ::

Hand-Placed Nailhead Trim

Individual brass nailheads are positioned by hand along the full arched perimeter — spacing adjusted around the changing curve radius so the visual rhythm remains consistent from the lowest point to the apex. ::

Precision Camelback Frame

The symmetrical camelback arch is built over a custom-shaped internal frame — the curve must be geometrically accurate before upholstery begins, as any distortion in the frame translates directly to the finished silhouette. ::

How long does it take to make the Aurelio Bed?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.
Can I customise the dimensions, leather, or wood?
Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
What if something needs repair years from now?
Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee. Reupholstery, refinishing, and frame repair are handled in-house — a piece built today can be brought back to the workshop a decade from now and restored.
