Plinto Nightstand — Austins Plinto Nightstand - Austins

Three drawers. One brass plinth. A bedside piece that understands the difference between storage and presence.

The brass plinth was always the starting point for this piece. Not legs — a full-width plinth that anchors the body completely and creates a horizontal gold line at floor level. From there, the white body was kept deliberately simple — flat drawer faces, shadow-gap dividers, and three brass knobs that echo the plinth below. The whole piece is a conversation between white restraint and gold warmth. The three-drawer configuration came from a practical need: a single nightstand that is genuinely useful in the morning.

The Making of the Plinto Nightstand

Designed by Harsha

Fitting three drawers with consistent shadow gaps into a compact near-square body requires precise CNC joinery at our Bangalore atelier. The mitre joints on the brass plinth are a key quality indicator — each corner must be perfectly aligned and finished so the gold line reads as unbroken from any angle in the room.

01

The Brass Plinth

A full-width polished brass plinth spans the entire base — not legs, a continuous gold line that plants the piece firmly and beautifully into the room.

02

Three Drawers

Shadow-gap dividers create clean horizontal lines across the white face — three generous drawers for jewellery, books, and the quiet necessities of a bedroom.

03

Brass Knobs

Three small circular polished brass pulls, one per drawer, centred and consistent — the plinth's warmth echoed in miniature.

Frequently Asked

Before You Order

How long does it take to make the Plinto Nightstand?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.
Can I customise the dimensions, leather, or wood?
Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
What if something needs repair years from now?
Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee. Reupholstery, refinishing, and frame repair are handled in-house — a piece built today can be brought back to the workshop a decade from now and restored.
