Bianca Recliner — Austins Bianca Recliner – Austins

A recliner built from the conviction that real comfort deserves real craft — not just foam and a lever, but proportions, materials, and finish that hold up to daily life.

Most recliners look like comfort has been prioritised at the expense of everything else. I wanted to make one that was uncompromising on comfort but also looked right in a considered living room. The cream colourway was the first decision — it immediately made the chair feel intentional rather than inherited. The three-section back with the floating neck roll was the second: it gives you adjustable support at every level of your spine. The welt trim along every seam is not decorative — it is the mark of a well-built piece.

The Making of the Bianca Recliner

Designed by Harsha

Keeping cream upholstery crease-free across a multi-panel recliner back requires careful pattern-cutting and precise tension management at our Bangalore atelier. Each horizontal panel must pull cleanly to the seam line, and the welt trim must sit consistently along every edge. The recliner mechanism is tested through full cycles before the piece leaves the workshop.

01

Three-Section Support

Lower panel, upper panel, and a separate floating neck roll — three zones of structured support from lumbar to the crown of the head, each independently addressed.

02

Wide and Generous

Square padded arms extend the full seat depth — a wide, flat arm surface for a book, a glass, or simply a resting elbow.

03

Crisp Cream

Clean cream PU upholstery with welt trim along every seam — a colourway that makes the room feel brighter and the chair feel considered.

Frequently Asked

Before You Order

How long does it take to make the Bianca Recliner?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.
Can I customise the dimensions, leather, or wood?
Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
What if something needs repair years from now?
Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee. Reupholstery, refinishing, and frame repair are handled in-house — a piece built today can be brought back to the workshop a decade from now and restored.
