Slate grey, seamless, and still — yet every line of this table is in motion. The S-curve was not found by accident; it was worked out through material and repetition until the form felt inevitable.
I kept thinking about how a treble clef works — the way it enters the staff, curves back on itself, and arrives somewhere completely different from where it began. The column needed that same rhythm. The floating disc wasn't in the original sketch; it appeared after the first cast and felt right immediately — a small punctuation mark on the way up, giving the eye somewhere to rest before the top.

Cast in our Bangalore atelier using lost-wax or precision sand-casting techniques, the S-curve column is formed in one continuous piece — the organic swell cannot be fabricated, it must be cast. The matte slate grey finish is applied uniformly across every surface, giving the table the presence of a found object in a contemporary gallery.

A small circular disc suspended mid-column on a thin rod is a purely aesthetic gesture — placed to give the eye a moment of rest and to signal that this object was considered down to its smallest decision. ::
