Fluting a curved arm exterior is technically demanding — you're asking a fabric surface to hold a regular corrugated geometry across a form that curves in two planes. Our upholsterers achieve it through a combination of precisely channelled panel construction and hand-tightening at each ridge. The result is a surface that reads differently in morning light versus evening light — the shadows in the channels shift, so the sofa is never quite the same piece twice in the same day. The brass feet are the reward for restraint: four small moments of warmth in a monochromatic palette.

In our Bangalore atelier, the Slightly Beige begins at the arm frame — engineered to present a rigid flat-topped surface and a curved outer face suited to fluting. Our upholsterers then work the ribbed exterior panel by panel, maintaining consistent channel depth across every curved transition. Polished brass cylinder feet are fitted last, their warm gold a deliberate accent in an otherwise ivory composition.
The Ivory Fabric
Warm off-white fabric in the same tone across both the ribbed exterior and smooth seat cushions — colour uniformity that lets texture carry the entire visual conversation. ::
The Vertical Fluting
Precise channelled ribbing across curved arm and front skirt panels — each ridge formed and held by hand-tightening, maintaining regular depth across two planes of curvature. ::
The Brass Feet
Polished brass cylinder feet — four columnar accents at each sofa corner, warm gold against pale ivory — the only colour in the palette and the sofa's only gesture toward jewellery.
