Two sofas, one vision — a beige fabric sectional with flush brass arm panels and vertical channel seats, made to order in our Bangalore atelier.
The brass panels started as a structural idea — a rigid arm cap that protects the fabric edge. But once I saw them at scale, it was obvious they were the piece's entire character. A large flat metal rectangle against soft pale fabric creates a dialogue you don't expect from a sofa. The channel tufting on the seat face was the counterpoint: texture where the eye drops.
The Making of the Casa Verona Sofa
Designed by Harsha
Fabric colour and weave are matched across both pieces from the same production run — dye-lot consistency across two separate frames is a quality standard we hold tightly. Each seat section is channel-tufted by hand, stitching lines measured to stay parallel across a curved seat. The brass arm panels are precision-fabricated and flush-mounted to tolerances that keep the metal-to-fabric join invisible.
Dye-Lot Matched Fabric
Colour-matching a soft woven fabric across a 3-seater and a 2-seater requires sourcing from a single production run — our artisans verify every metre before cutting to ensure the pale beige reads identically across both pieces. ::
Precision Seat Channel Tufting
Parallel vertical channels run front to back across every seat section — keeping each line equidistant on a slightly curved seat surface demands careful marking and consistent stitching tension throughout. ::
Flush-Mounted Brass Arm Panels
Each large rectangular brass panel is engineered to sit flush with the upholstered arm face — requiring precise frame tolerances and hand-fitting to eliminate any gap or proud edge at the metal-to-fabric line. ::
