The inlay band at the top edge is the heart of this table — individual pieces of orange-amber and dark wood, hand-fitted in a continuous ring. We ground the inlay flush with the surface and polished it to a single plane. Below, the three bobbin-turned legs are themselves a lathe craft statement — each ring profile requires a steady hand on a heavy-capacity machine. The result is a table that earns a second look from every angle.
The Making of the Intarsio Side Table

In our Bangalore workshop, each Orange Side Table top is turned from solid sheesham before the inlay process begins. Individual orange-amber and dark wood segments are hand-fitted into routed channels around the top edge — a marquetry tradition that demands both patience and a true eye. The turned legs are shaped on the lathe by hand, one bobbin profile at a time.
