Ravello Bed — Austins Ravello Bed - Austins

Two complementary materials, one low platform silhouette — a grey and cognac bed built to precise colour calibration in our Bangalore atelier.

Pairing two luxury materials on a single bed frame is a risk — if the tones fight, the piece fails. I spent weeks finding the exact grey and cognac that sit in the same warmth register. The seam between them needed to look intentional, not accidental. When it works, the two-material bed reads as more considered than any monochrome piece could be.

The Making of the Ravello Bed

Designed by Harsha

The headboard and base are upholstered separately — grey suede-look fabric on a shaped panel frame, cognac leather on the platform body — then joined at a clean seam line. Our artisans calibrate the tone match between both materials before cutting, and the junction is trimmed and finished by hand to read as a designed detail rather than a construction necessity.

Complementary Material Pairing

Matching a warm grey suede-look fabric and a cognac leather to the same warmth register requires side-by-side calibration before cutting — any tonal mismatch becomes immediately visible at the seam. ::

02

Hand-Finished Material-Change Seam

The junction where the grey headboard meets the cognac base is trimmed and finished by hand — no piping hidden the join, just a precisely fitted edge that signals intent rather than accident. ::

03

Reinforced Low-Platform Frame

The angled metal legs support a hardwood or steel-reinforced slatted platform — a construction standard that prevents mattress-edge sag at the low profile height over years of use. ::

Frequently Asked

Before You Order

How long does it take to make the Ravello Bed?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.
Can I customise the dimensions, leather, or wood?
Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
What if something needs repair years from now?
Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee. Reupholstery, refinishing, and frame repair are handled in-house — a piece built today can be brought back to the workshop a decade from now and restored.
