The top was always going to be the piece — the legs are deliberately self-effacing so nothing competes with the surface. Mirror-polishing a resin panel with organic depth variation is labour-intensive: the surface must be levelled to remove the peaks of the swirl pattern before buffing begins, so you're polishing something that is still revealing its final character. Each table emerges differently from that process. The four tapered black legs are chosen to disappear, to hold the slab at the right height and get out of the way of the material story.
The Making of the Ambra Coffee Table

In our Bangalore workshop, each Design In Glass Table top is individually polished through progressive grit stages — the mirror surface emerging only after the resin's organic swirl pattern has been levelled and refined. The four tapered matte-black metal legs are fitted last, their connection to the underside clean and hardware-free. No two finished tables carry the same amber-and-black pattern.
The Resin Top
Amber, warm brown, and near-black in organic swirls — cast or epoxy-poured with embedded material, no two tops sharing the same pattern or proportion of tones. ::
The Mirror Polish
Progressive hand-buffing through multiple grit stages levels the organic surface variation before revealing the final mirror finish — a process that simultaneously creates and reveals the character of each top. ::
The Tapered Legs
Four slender matte-black metal legs, tapered toward the foot, hold the slab at coffee-table height with hidden connection hardware — minimalism that makes the top the sole focus.
