All-over navy leather, winged grid-tufted headboard, channelled base — a unified leather sculpture built to fill a master bedroom with quiet command.

I wanted every surface of this bed covered in exactly the same material — no interruptions, no relief. Deep cobalt navy that absorbs light into the tufted recesses and glows in the raised peaks. The winged headboard had to cantilever beyond the base without flex, which was the engineering challenge. The grid on the wings must read as a continuous pattern around the corner — that precision is what makes it sculpture rather than furniture.

The Making of the Vittoro Bed

Covering an entire bed — wing headboard, back panels, and four base sides — in matched cobalt leather requires hide selection at scale. Our artisans source from a single batch for colour consistency. Grid tufting on the curved, winged surface is marked as a precise rectangular matrix, then hand-stitched at every intersection. The base channels are cut and padded separately, then seamed to the base frame.

Batch-Matched Cobalt Leather

Upholstering an entire bed in a single uniform colour requires hides selected from one batch — any tonal shift between the wing panels and the base sides becomes visible in raking light. Consistency here is a sourcing discipline. ::

Grid Tufting on a Curved Wing Surface

Mapping a rectangular grid matrix across the curved, angled wing headboard requires the stitching lines to remain orthogonal to the eye despite the surface curvature — demanding precise layout and hand-stitching at each intersection. ::

Cantilevered Wing Frame

The headboard wings extend beyond the base footprint without visible support — requiring a robust internal steel-reinforced frame to carry the overhang without flex or twist over time. ::

How long does it take to make the Vittoro Bed?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.

Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
