A separate leather piece is cut, fitted, and stitched or bonded into the main back to form the central lumbar panel. Achieving a crease-free surface over a curved back form is the mark of a skilled upholsterer. ::

A five-star die-cast aluminium base with polished chrome finish and a pneumatic gas-lift column bears the full dynamic load. Tilt mechanism and castors are rated for executive-chair daily use.
