Verona Chair — Austins Verona Chair - Austins

A bespoke barrel silhouette in hand-dyed teal leather, finished with mirror-polished brass — made to order from our Bangalore atelier.

I started with a single colour moment — that rare deep teal that sits between forest and midnight. The brass legs weren't decorative afterthought; they were the counterpoint the leather demanded. Every panel was hand-fitted so the back and arms flow as one unbroken form. It's a small chair that holds its ground.

The Making of the Verona Chair

Designed by Harsha

Each chair begins with hide selection: our artisans choose full-grain leather for consistent colour depth across every panel. The barrel back is hand-fitted in a single session, the arm-to-back junction shaped without visible seams. Brass legs are precision-machined and back-clamped for a clean, floating base.

01

Hand-Dyed Teal Leather

Deep-grain full leather chosen for its natural crinkle character — a colour rarely found outside bespoke ateliers, achieved through small-batch hand-dyeing for richness that mass production cannot replicate. ::

02

Seamless Panel Fitting

The barrel back wraps continuously into the arms with no hard break or visible seam — a hallmark of skilled hand-upholstery where each leather panel is cut, stretched, and anchored in a single session. ::

03

Brass Back-Clamp System

A precision-engineered brass bracket mounts each leg from behind, keeping the base visually clean and structurally rigid — the chair's signature floating quality is an engineering decision as much as an aesthetic one. ::

Frequently Asked

Before You Order

How long does it take to make the Verona Chair?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.
Can I customise the dimensions, leather, or wood?
Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
What if something needs repair years from now?
Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee. Reupholstery, refinishing, and frame repair are handled in-house — a piece built today can be brought back to the workshop a decade from now and restored.
