The Slice explores what happens when you give the seating surface a curve — it becomes something different entirely, something that reads as sculpture first and furniture second. The mustard yellow was chosen because it owns the space without asking. The gold plinth was always part of the idea.

Mustard Leather-Look on a Curved Form
Bold amber-yellow upholstery must be applied evenly across a non-planar curved surface — any shading inconsistency from uneven tensioning is immediately visible against the confident solid colour. ::
Upholstering the Arc
The inside curve of a crescent form must be hand-finished differently from the outside — the leather must be stretched, eased, and tacked at different tensions to achieve a smooth, wrinkle-free finish across both faces of the arc. ::
The Brass Plinth Under Curve
The continuous gold plinth follows the full curved footprint of the sofa, carrying load evenly across its length — precision fabrication ensures the plinth sits level and true even where the curvature is tightest.
