Maryland Lounger — Austins Maryland Lounger – Austins

Press a button. Footrests extend. The evening begins.

"I wanted to make the living room feel like the best seat in the house — not just for movies, but for those late-night conversations where no one wants to leave. The concealed compartment and push-button footrests were deliberate: comfort that disappears into the design."

The Making of the Maryland Lounger

Designed by Harsha

Built for families who gather and stay — the Maryland Lounger brings together three recliners and a lounge chair in warm steel blue fabric, with footrests, a concealed beverage compartment, and wooden side consoles crafted in Bangalore.

01

Steel Blue Suede Fabric

A uniform steel blue fabric runs across all four sections — sourced and batch-matched to ensure consistent colour and texture across the full multi-module configuration. ::

02

Channel-Stitched Backs

Parallel vertical channels run the full height of each seat back, demanding precise stitching alignment repeated consistently across every individual recliner unit. ::

03

Calibrated Recliner Mechanism

Each seat position carries an independently fitted recliner mechanism, calibrated for smooth extension and secure hold under load.

Frequently Asked

Before You Order

How long does it take to make the Maryland Lounger?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation. We build one piece at a time — frame first, then upholstery, then a final hand-finish — so the timeline reflects real bench-time, not warehouse stock.
Can I customise the dimensions, leather, or wood?
Yes. Almost every dimension can be adjusted within structural limits, and the leather and wood swatches shown are starting points — speak to a designer if you'd like us to source something specific.
How does delivery work, and where do you ship?
We deliver across India with white-glove placement included. International shipping is available on request — our team will coordinate freight, customs, and last-mile placement at the destination.
What does payment look like for a custom piece?
A 50% deposit confirms the order and reserves your build slot in the atelier. The balance is due before dispatch. We'll share a transparent quote with material and labour breakdown after the consultation.
What if something needs repair years from now?
Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee. Reupholstery, refinishing, and frame repair are handled in-house — a piece built today can be brought back to the workshop a decade from now and restored.
