The decision not to tuft was deliberate. Tufting would have broken the surface into a pattern — and this chair's power is in the unbroken orange plane. The smooth leather must be perfectly consistent in colour and sheen across wings, back, arms, and seat — any variation shows immediately on an unadorned surface like this. Our craftspeople select hides for colour match before cutting, and the nailhead line on the arm is set by hand around the full scrolled curve. The chair's boldness is earned by the discipline behind it.
The Making of the Fiora Wingback

At our Bangalore atelier, the Very Orange Chair begins with careful hide selection — each panel matched for colour saturation and sheen before a single cut is made. The wingback frame is then wrapped in smooth tangerine leather without tufting or break, and our upholsterers set each nailhead individually along the scrolled arm profile, maintaining even spacing where the curve changes radius.
