The Segna Chair was shaped around two volumes — a plump seat drum and a channel-fluted curved back — in warm tan caramel leather, sitting on a polished gold ring base. Compact, sculptural, and built in Bangalore.
Tan Caramel Leather
Smooth tan leather in a warm caramel tone covers both the rounded seat drum and the curved barrel back — the consistent colour across two distinctly shaped volumes requires precise pattern cutting to avoid tension marks. ::
Channel Fluting on a Curved Back
Vertical channel stitching runs top to bottom across the arc of the barrel back — maintaining consistent channel width and spacing around the curve requires precise upholstery alignment. ::
Two-Volume Internal Structure
The plump seat drum and curved back shell are visually distinct but structurally joined — the internal frame must unite them securely at the horizontal seam while maintaining the clear visual separation between the two volumes.
